My blood draws had been getting increasingly difficult. Today, after two unsuccessful sticks, including one in my foot, they finally used my port. I talked to Dr. Beck about it, and he said I should just come to the cancer center & let them access my port every time. He also said that I could skip the mid-week blood draw from now on, so I won't have to drive to Salina on my off-week. That will make my veins really happy! Yay Jesus!
Dr. Beck also said that I could start doing one less Neupagen shot!!! They had been telling me from the beginning that I should expect to need more shots as we went along, but apparently my body is doing what it is supposed to. LESS POKES! Yay Jesus!
I still have four more chemo treatments, just to make sure that every single cancer cell is completely gone. I still have many hard days ahead, but for now I'm focusing on the victory and not thinking about the rest. Yay Jesus!
