-Dad's celebrating the 2 year anniversary of working at the post office. He got to celebrate by having the day off.
-Mom's celebrating because our insurance is going to cover Mom's MS drugs with a minimal fee. She's also going to get to work with the pharmacy I used to get my Neupagen shots who were really easy to work with.
-I'm celebrating because this would have been my chemo day, but it's NOT!!
-Amber's celebrating because the rest of us are... ok, she's not really celebrating. She got the hives this weekend and is now on Benadryl, so I'm not sure she's even aware of her surroundings right now.
Thank you so much to all of you who have been and continue to pray for our family. I firmly believe that it is largely due to your prayers that we are celebrating today! (Have you noticed a trend in our family and celebrating?!
We had an absolutely wonderful weekend at the Free State bluegrass festival in Lawrence! We got to see one of our all-time favorite bands, The Freight Hoppers. After about a 6-year break, we were thrilled to see them together again. We got the chance to visit with them quite a bit, and even jam with them a little. Amber took a banjo workshop from Frank Lee- her first real instruction on clawhammer banjo. I sat in on the workshop and picked up a couple things too. They invited us out to North Carolina this summer. Amber and I are seriously considering how we can make that work. As a special treat, we stayed in the hotel where the festival was held. Of course, Amber was allergic to some chemical in the room and came down with the hives and we barely slept in the room since we were out jamming until about 3am both nights.
