We crossed into our fourth state of the trip and are now in Memphis, TN. Amber gave a private fiddle lesson this afternoon and now we're getting ready for our concert tonight at 8:00. We're feeling very comfortable at the "Sherman Inn". The accomodations are lovely, and Amber and even get seperate rooms! We're probably going to go into withdrawl from not sleeping together.
Our show last night at the Ozark Folk Center in Mt. View, AR was fun. The crowd was small, but they were really into the music. They were a fun audience to play for. We always love playing at the folk center because we can go barefoot and everyone thinks that is normal!
Our first observation about Memphis was that the people drive FAST here! The traffic was moving about 20mph over the speed limit on the interstate.

I drove into the city and Amber navigated. We lived, but it was a little nerve-wracking.
Tomorrow is my 21st birthday!! I'm happy to have my 20th year behind me and looking forward to new and wonderful things this year. This morning, the McKinney's had flowers on the table and fixed me a special early birthday breakfast. Amber and I will probably try to find something fun to do tomorrow afternoon to celebrate! Amber says she'll eat ice cream and tell me how good it is.
I think dinner is about ready, so I will sign off for now. Thanks for checking in and we will see you down the road!

Hi friends,
Erin and I are both doing great! We are in a very cute little coffee shop here in Batesville Arkansas. We had some really really good gigs the last few days!!! It is great to share our music with so many folks. Tonight we are going to perform at the Ozark Folk Center in Mt. View Arkansas.
We are definintely not near home anymore. We are in the mountains, lots of trees, big bugs, and THICK accents! The car is still running really well. We are going to have to buy gas again, it is $3.79 here today. We have been getting 29 miles to the gallon, not bad at all.
A big thanks to the Fuchs for being great hosts in Ozark, it was great being a part of your family. Thanks to the Hisers for grabbing a couple of gigs for us.
Thank YOU for the prayers. We can feel them. We don't have time to upload vidoes today, but check out the picture page.
Hope to see you down the road!
Amber and Sis

Hi friends
We have had a really good few days on the road. We started our journey visiting friends in the hospital. It was great to see them and hopefully we brightened their day. On Friday night we arrived at "Tater Fest". It was great seeing friends from Winfield! Erin and I got camp set up and we did a little jamming. Friday night a big storm came through dumping about 2 inches of rain. The thunder and lightening were so LOUD and bright. I kissed sleeping goodbye and we sat in the shed eating chips. Our tent stayed mostly dry.
On Saturday we ate, slept, and played music. What a life! Sunday we ate, slept, and played more music. There was another round of thunderstorms all through the night, dumping buckets of rain. The thunder and lightening kept us up once again. The ground was very hard and lumpy, but alas, it was fun.
